Kota, June 9 (UNI) Rajasthan Congress president Gaurav Sharma has died at a private hospital in Kota on Thursday night, police sources said.

Sharma was shot at and seriously injured by two men in Baran last on Wednesday over a land dispute when he had come to see the construction work going on his land on Talawada Road.

In the midst of this dispute, Sharma was shot and Rajendra and Ramkuar fled on a motorcycle.

According to police sources said Sharma was first admitted to a hospital in Baran after he was seriously injured due to a bullet injury in the head, where he was being treated at a private hospital in Kota due to his critical condition.

The bullet in his head was removed by doctors but since then he was on ventilator and was battling between life and death.

Mr Sharma passed away at around 23:45 hrs on Thursday night.
